The Cedars at Basking Ridge is a community of 526 units, in the form of duplexes, townhomes, condominiums, and low and moderate income housing.
Our community is located in scenic Bernards Township, New Jersey, approximately 40 miles west of New York City and 60 miles north of Philadelphia; accessible from Routes 22, 202, 206 and Interstates 78 and 287.
The Township consists of Basking Ridge, Liberty Corner, Lyons and West Millington and encompasses 23.2 square miles. The population of the Township, based on a 1986 estimate by the Somerset County Chamber of Commerce, is approximately 13,335 persons.
Board of Trustees
The Cedars Board of Trustees is made up of seven members; at the present time the developer still holds one seat on the Board.
Meetings are held in open session at 7:30 pm, on the third Wednesday of each month, and all Cedars residents are welcome to attend.
Committees
We at the Cedars take great pride in our community, and are committed to maintaining a pleasant environment for our residents. Toward that end, we have formed a number of committees who oversee the various aspects of running the Cedars complex.
Each of these committees is responsible for selecting and reviewing certain contracts and presenting their ideas and recommendations before the Board. All residents are encouraged to join the committes of their choice.
