Property Management

On-site manager Gerard Mazzara is responsible for the efficient administration of The Cedars. He has been serving the Cedars’ community since early 1995, beginning with his role as the Community Manager with Integra Management. In November 1997, he joined the Cedars on a full-time basis as our Association Manager.

Gerard is a member of the Certified Managers of Community Associations (CMCA). He also has an extensive background in the real estate industry, and is a Licensed Sales Associate with the New Jersey Association of Realtors.

Professional History

Association Manager, Cedars at Basking Ridge C.A., Inc.
November 1998 - Present
As Association Manager, my responsibilities include full financial management for the Association, the bidding out and supervision on all contract work at the Cedars, and daily operations of all routine Association business. Additionally, I administer work orders and assist homeowners, Committee Members and Board Members with issues and questions as well as with fulfilling their responsibilities receptively. My other responsibility includes coordinating the monthly meetings and Annual Elections, supervising special projects, covenants (rules) enforcement and communications to all Association Members.

Community Manager, INTEGRA Management Corp.
April 1995 - October 1998
As a portfolio manager for 5 community Associations for two and a half years, I was responsible for the daily operations of each community. In addition I coordinated their monthly meetings and Annual Elections. My other responsibilities included all that are described above except for the financial aspect.

Real Estate Sales Agent, Gilsenan & Co., Ridgewood, NJ
July 1989 - April 1995
As a sales agent for the lease and sale of both commercial and residential properties, I guided investors and homebuyers through the complete process of either closing a purchase or sale of real estate property. In addition I had full responsibility for marketing my own listed properties and my abilities as an agent.

Department Manager, Bloomingdale's, Hackensack, NJ
May 1987 - July 1989
As a Department Manager for Federated Department Stores, owner of Bloomingdale’s, I had moved up to an executive position from sales. During my employment I gained more and more responsibilities as I was promoted 4 times in two years. I was responsible for all operations, at the store level, associated with a 4.6 million-dollar business, including the hiring and supervision of a staff of more than 25 employees.

Store Manager, Metropolitan Plants, Fort Lee, NJ
April 1985 - May 1987
In my capacity as a store manager for this company, which at the time had five stores, I made all of the purchases, supervised a staff of more than 20 employees, set employee standards, performed all sales and management training, coordinated promotions, assisted in marketing and loss prevention.
